Hi,
Its great to read your article everyday.I would like to share one situation with you and I hope you would be appreciating the same.
The situation is :
In India DISTANCE EDUCATION boomed in last few years. The statistics show that people are more and more enrolling in DISTANCE EDUCATION but when that same person with that same diploma goes out to look for jobs , he is rejected on the basis of doing the course through DISTANCE EDUCATION.
My First question is:
What kind of DISCRIMINATION IS THIS? DOES INDIANS SPEAK OF EQUALITY AND NOT WALK THEIR TALKS?
Second Question:
Why the MNC’S and the FORTUNE 500 companies have a”FIXED MINDSET” of hiring regular MBA’S? Can’t a DISTANCE EDUCATION person be well groomed and upmarket? How can they judge that without even MEETING the candidate for INTERVIEW? What if the particular candidate had some circumstances that didnt allow him to pursue REGULAR MBA? What is he supposeed to do ? Die without HAVING A JOB? IS THIS WHAT INDIA’S CAREER MARKET IS ALL ABOUT,PROMOTING DISCRIMINATION?
Kindly let me know your viewpoint and if possible get the viewpoint of some HR MGRS from MNC’S & FORTUNE 500′S. Looking forward for your reply.
